Being Active Is an Important Part of Being a Kid
When a child complains of foot pain, it’s easy to dismiss as growing pains. But persistent foot pain in children is not normal and shouldn’t be ignored. Being able to run, play, and participate in activities without pain or struggle is an important part of being a kid.
At Next Step Foot & Ankle Clinic, we take children’s foot pain seriously. We evaluate the root cause and create age-appropriate treatment plans that get your child back to doing what kids do best.

OUR APPROACH TO PEDIATRIC CARE
We understand that treating children requires a different approach. FAQ
Are flat feet normal in children?
Many children have flat feet that resolve on their own. But if your child’s flat feet cause pain, fatigue, or limit activity, they should be evaluated.
When should I be concerned about my child’s foot pain?
If pain persists for more than a week, is getting worse, causes limping, or is limiting activity, it’s time for an evaluation.
Will my child grow out of it?
Some conditions resolve with growth, others don’t. Early evaluation helps us determine which and plan accordingly.
Is treatment painful for kids?
We go out of our way to make treatment comfortable. Most of our pediatric treatments are non-invasive and pain-free.
